22 Videos in One Day? My Laptop Said 'Absolutely Not.' (But I'm Not Done Yet.)

3 out of 22 videos recorded. My laptop overheated. But I walked away with new skills, new workflows, and a promise to finish what I started.

22 Videos in One Day? My Laptop Said 'Absolutely Not.' (But I'm Not Done Yet.)

Published: January 8, 2026 - 4 min read

This is Prisca, reporting with updates on the challenge I gave myself this morning.

So um, I failed. Woefully, as a matter of fact.

I recorded a whopping total of 3 out of 22 videos.

But let's be honest, you already knew I was crazy when I made that post announcing that I was going to attempt to record 22 videos in one day.

Not Everything Was a Loss

Okay, I don't want to sound like it was all a fail because it wasn't. Here's what I actually accomplished:

I tested out new recording styles. I experimented with different ways of presenting content, different angles, different energy levels. Some worked. Some didn't. That's data.

I established a new workflow for my video creation process. From script to recording to editing to upload, I now have a clearer pipeline. That's infrastructure I didn't have this morning.

I learned a few more useful things about CapCut. Features I didn't know existed. Shortcuts that will save me hours in the future. Tools that will make my next batch of videos faster to produce.

I got grammar lessons from my AI coaches. Since my video scripts were evaluated by Tiana Picker and Oprah Winfrey, I also learned about my weak points in grammar, vocabulary, and overall eloquence. That's feedback I can work on.

The Numbers Tell a Story

Here's what actually happened in one day:

  • 22 ideas rapidly brainstormed and written down as bullet points
  • 5 scripts expanded from those ideas
  • 4 videos recorded
  • 3 videos edited and uploaded

Even though I failed to record all 22, being able to rapidly generate that list of ideas is a win. Shows that my brain is still on fire, which is a good thing.

Then My Laptop Started Protesting

After editing and publishing the 3rd video, my laptop started to slow down. The fans were working overtime. The heat was noticeable.

It reminded me of what happened with my previous laptop before it eventually died. After restarting my laptop multiple times and noticing the same issues, I had to take a pause to let my laptop breathe.

It was in that pause that I realized that maybe this was not so much of a great idea.

At least not in one day.

The Plan Moving Forward

Now, does that mean that I won't record all 22 videos? Nope. I still plan to record and upload them.

Hopefully all before the end of next week so I can start teaching on LinkedIn by the 3rd week of January. By then, I should have tested out every CapCut feature I want to try out.

I also hope by then I would have gotten over the feeling of cringeness I still feel when I watch myself speak. I don't know why I still feel that way, but I'll get over it with time and more videos. I know I will.

What's Coming Next

Stay tuned because in the next few days, I'll be announcing the new movement I'll be starting on Instagram and eventually writing about it here.

Right now, I am going to step out and go socialize. You know, the one thing I promised myself I was going to do daily when I got to Montreal. I already have some interesting stories about how that is going so far, so stay tuned.

As always, thanks for reading!
